Max Equity Participating Remodelers: Code of Ethics

Each member of Max Equity's remodeling lead program pledges to observe high standards of honesty, integrity in the conduct of business:

1. By promoting only those products and services that are functionally and economically sound and which are consistent with objective standards of health and safety. To help the customer receive the maximum value out of their remodeling investment.

2. By acting honestly with all communications between workers and customer. Keeping the customer informed at all times and notifying customer when unforeseen circumstances come up to cause delays or requires change.

3. By writing all contracts and warranties such that they are fair and mutually beneficial, such that they are free of ambiguities or omissions which tend to obscure contractual parties concerned, and by fulfilling those obligations in a reasonable, prompt manner that is fair to all parties concerned.

4. By honoring all contractual obligations until and unless they are altered or dissolved by the mutual consent of all contractual parties concerned.

5. By promptly acknowledging and acting on all customer complaints, and, in situations where complaints appear unreasonable and persistent, by encouraging the customer to initiate an approved third party dispute settlement mechanism.

6. By carrying $1,000,000 in liability insurance and worker's compensation on all sub contractors or employees and providing certificates of insurance upon request.

7. By issuing lien waivers upon customer's request on jobs that exceed $2,000 in labor and materials.

 
NOTICE: Max Equity provides your requests for free estimates to our member contractors, who are required to keep Liability Insurance and Workers' Compensation Insurance (as required by law).  We strongly recommend that you request current insurance certificates from your contractor's insurance carrier prior to starting any renovation.
